'08/09 Deluxe Paint set Fitment
Will tank, front & rear fender fit a Deluxe that is newer than '09? I found out from Search that the set won't fit older. In '08 fuel pump/sending unit and swingarm was changed. Will this paint set fit other Softails? I know most STs went with wider rear tire/fender setups. I got the set on eBay and now I'm lookin for a Softail to put it on.

I don't think I understand your question. You are asking if ? what year tins and off of what kind of bike will fit on what year of a Deluxe? I am looking at painting my bike next winter but I love my color's so much I don't want to ruin or change them so I am getting other tins to paint and put on my bike saving my stock tins. I have another tank but I am still looking for fender's. I also want to stretch my rear fender so I want to buy one that way or have my new rear fender stretched and then painted. I also would like to know what year fenders will work on my bike, a 2006 Deluxe. I want used fenders because new are expensive and I am just going to have them stripped and painted anyway. I got my new tank for a mere 200.00, fuel pump included. If I can get that lucky again on my fenders at prices like that I only see that as a win/win situation. If anyone has them that will work on my bike for a great price I might consider buying them now, send me a private message. It would have to be a hell of a deal though because like I said, this is next winter's project, not this winter's so I think it would be foolish to buy them now just to hang around for another 2 years before I use them. Thats money that I am taking away from this winter's project list and expenses. I bought the tank early because at 200.00's, that was a steal. A new painted tank is 1,500.00 which would not make sense for me because I would just strip it and pain it anyway. A new tank primed and ready to go to paint is 850.00 and those are prices without the fuel pump. I will then still have the expense of stretching the rear fender and then paint too.
