I took a bub lakester and modded it... not custom 1 off completely but my tuner would have killed me if i brought him a completely un tested pipe for tuning, would have been a nightmare... here is what we did
got the upsweep
tacked it up
welded the new tip on
now for the mount
Stock:
modded it
powder coated the mount
powder coated the shields
custom 2 tone powder the muffler
all done and on the bike
even works great all bagged up

at the time i didn't have the 500 plus extra dollars for exhaust so i fabbed one out of a 2010 roadglide to fit my FB.. so even though its a harley part, it wasn't intended for a soft tail and it put the muffler under the rear floorboard so it wouldn't cook the mrs foot or ankle... i found a new take off set on here from a member and commenced to cutting, drilling and welding... and VIOLA' poor mans 2-1 exhaust...
for that huge *** muffler to look halfway normal i needed to cut the pipe 7". it just so happens the 7" i needed to remove was the length of the cat converter in the head pipe.
a pic of the stock RG exhaust..
main pipe with cat converter removed...
mounting stud welded to muffler. fabbed bracket to mount to orig bracket, just in case i ever need to go back to stock.
one of the O2 bungs welded in place. i made these up out of some old o2 bungs cut from old cats and bicycle fork tubes.
finished product..

Thanks, the orig slipon was too dam quiet. i sent it out to american custom exhaust, they're a sponsor here and did a hell'uva job on it. its got a nice deep rumble, but not to loud to **** off the neighbors. when you crack the throttle its all *****.. from all the youtube clips i have seen/heard it sounds just as good as any other 2-1 high dollar exhaust. the best thing is, i only have $200 into it including the muff work from ACE. One day when i don't have anything else to do, (yeah right) i would like to open up the collector to muff diameter a bit. it seems to be choked down too much.
