Default Ride-On tire Balancer and Sealant

I've just tested a new product. Ride-On Tire Balancer and Sealant. This is a liquid product you inject into your motorcycle tire through the valve stem. Once installed, it Dynamically balances your tires as you ride, and keeps the tire balanced for the life of the tire regardless of tire wear. Additionally it also acts as a tire sealant in case of a puncture.

Previous products such as Green Slime tire sealant, were problematic as tires could not be balanced once the product was installed.

I recently mounted a new tire on the rear of my Fatboy and installed this product. Ride-On for motorcycle tires is sold in an 8 ounce bottle. My tire size required 9 ounces and I had to open a second bottle however the leftover product in the bottle will remain usable. The manufacturer warns that vibration may be felt for the first 2 or 3 miles until the product is spread through the tire from centrifugal forces. I did not experience this. Rode the bike Sunday, speeds up to 80 mph completely vibration free. I can attest that the balancing properties of this product work. I'm not going to punch holes in my new tire to test the sealing properties but there are many YouTube videos demonstrating this feature. One video is of a bullet shot into a tire which sealed itself.

I purchased Ride-On through JP Cycles. A little pricy at 15 dollars a bottle but in my opinion worth the cost. For a little over 30 buck per bike, I can ride with balanced tires and not worry about roadside flat tire repairs.

I used it when I put a 250 tire on my bike...I had trouble getting anyone to mount it...it would not fit in any local MC shops tire machines...had to get it mounted at a custom wheel car shop...and they could not balance it...bought two bottles of the stuff...rides smooth as silk.

I'm all in favor of safety related stuff and all that but what will your wheel look like when you go to get your tire changed the next time, a bunch of crap stuck to it, or?

Anybody, got any experience in removing it from your wheel when you go to change tires?

below info copied and pasted from website

Q: Does Ride-On Tire Protection System react chemically with the tires or wheels?

A: No. Ride-On (TPS) tire sealant is chemically inert, and will not attack the tire or wheels. Ride-On (TPS) contains corrosion inhibitors that protect steel and aluminum wheels and tire belts against corrosion. Ride-On (TPS) tire sealant can be easily washed out of tires with water. It will not affect the future use of patches or other tire repairs if necessary. Ride-On (TPS) will actually help preserve the tire casing, making retreads more effective.

Q: Is the Ride-On (TPS) Hazardous?

A: Ride-On TPS is not considered a hazardous material as defined by the US EPA and DOT. Ride-On TPS is biodegradable, non-flammable, and non-explosive. Please refer to the Ride-On Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) and Environmental Impact Testing Report for more details.

Q: Is the Ride-On (TPS) water dispersible?

A: Yes. since there is no chemical bonding of Ride-On (TPS) tire sealant to the tire, it can be easily washed out of a tire with water. This is particularly important to our fleet and commercial clients because, Ride-On (TPS) can be washed out of a tire so that the tire can be retreaded. Ride-On (TPS) contains ethylene glycol, which is commonly used as an antifreeze and in cooling and heating systems. Good industrial hygiene work practices should be used when installing or removing Ride-On (Please refer to the Material Safety Data Sheet). Please refer to your Federal, State, or Local regulations for disposing or recycling of glycol based products.

Q: Will Ride-On (TPS) rust the wheels?

A: No. Ride-On (TPS) contains anti-corrosive agents to protect steel and aluminum wheels and tire belts against rust.

Q: Can I use Ride-On in tires that already contain another tire sealant or have balancing powders like Equal, dynabeads or counteract in them?

A: No. Ride-On (TPS) should not be used in tires that contain any other material as the combination can make both products ineffective.

Q: Is Ride-On Tire Pressure Monitor (TPMS) Friendly?

A: Yes. Ride-On (TPS) is tire pressure monitor sensor (TPMS) friendly in TPMS sensors that are hermetically sealed. Most sensors on motorcycle, autos and commercial fleet applications are hermetically sealed. We do not recommend the use of Ride-On in 2009, 2010, and 2012 Honda Gold Wings as their TPMS sensors are not hermetically sealed. Please read more about Ride-On and TPMS sensors at the following pages:
