My 2003 FXST has what I THOUGHT were stock bars and have since had others (supposedly) confirm. Definitely not buckhorn. Whatever they are I love them, love the bike.
I believe, the Softail Std's came with a 6" or 4" pullback riser with a bar like the newwer sportsers, not quite a buckhorn. The Softail Customs I think came with the mini apes, llike the Dyna Wide Glide.
Yeah you are correct, FXSTC came stock with mini apes. I bought a new Standard in 06 and it came with some kinda low rise bars that were neither drags or apes. They were comfortable though.

Hell, I think the steel grey finish on that engine looks way better than it does on mine because of the lame silver stock paint.
