Default Is it my suspension or my seat?

Plain and simple after an hour or so, my *** hurts!!! I have a 2011 Fat Boy Lo with the stock seat. I have the stock shocks adjusted for 2up riding. My question is how much are the shocks contributing to my problem? I have read most of the threads and most of the guys say its one of the best mods you can do or you wouldn't ride another softail without one. Will it smooth out the ride that much? Is that what is so great? I do understand the cool factor of being able to drop the *** with the flip of the switch, I'm more interested in improving the quality of my ride, so I can extend the length of my ride. I know a seat will improve the comfort factor, but will the shotgun shock take some of the fatigue factor away?

The Shotgun is def. going to improve your ride overall. But having said that - your sore *** is more likely due to a poor seat fitment with your ***.

Im glad to hear you say this. On youtube the vid is usually being filmed in a garage and the comp is loud as heck.

Yes the fatigue factor will lessen with the SS. You might want to look into how you sit on your bike, how far forward or back your handle bar is, your foot boards, etc. etc as improper sitting angle will cause pressure points on your butt and cause pain and discomfort.
