any problems with the new 103"?

Maybe you have really quiet pipes, or haven't left a motel at 6 in the morning, or didn't care about the other people in the motel.
I try to be a "do unto others as you would have them do unto you" guy. If someone's barking dog can annoy me when I'm sleeping, I try to think about what my barking Harley might be doing.
Thinking is stressful, even painful at times, but I'm not quite ready to totally give it up.

The 103 is 103 cubic inches of dog *** power!! A 103 IS NOT a selling point, or at least shouldn't be a selling point whatsoever. They are so ridiculously detuned from the factory, stage one will be a must, increasing compression and cams a high consideration and heads even better, you say you like stock, I have a feeling the power increase isn't going to be alot more noticeable than your lighter carbed evo motor. 6th gear strictly for use above 70 MPH. A reputable engine builder and tuner will turn any turd, i.e. stock 103, into a smooth, efficient, cooler running, better sounding and waaay more useable power band than the factory could ever produce! I've ridden a stock 2012 street glide 103 and I'll take my carbed 107" springer ANY day over one of those!

+1 On what this guy just said.
A left over or lightly used 96 ci six speed with just intake/cams/exhaust and a good dyno tune would leave a lot of money in you pocket and a lot more of a bike.

Ive talked to couple of owners and our Wrench at the dealership.
So far all have said they have a Little more umph than the 96'ers, but U still need to do the Stg1 one with a good tuner to help cool them down and cams to really wake them up as all harleys.
As far as dependabilty,, well since the first TC "B" motor came out in the only real issue has been the tensioners in the 88''ers..

I looked up what the 103 is putting down for power and its only 70 hp on the high end.My 80in evo makes close to 60hp with a air cleaner and pipes.I think I'll stick with what I got and keep some money in my pocket.I'm sure a bigger cam would help me out big time.I still have the stock one.
