I have a Memphis Shades batwing and leather lowers on my Heritage, and boy do they work, so much that I have to take them off to ride in the summer, almost too hot.

Yeah, that's what I'm talking about, not the Desert Dog type...

I agree with almost anyone else: together with a HD windshield they work VERRY good, but they do look VERRY uncool...

I had Memphis shades lowers on a Street Bob, and Harley Chrome ones on my Heritage. In both cases they made a big difference. Wasn't crazy about the look of the Memphis Shades ones, but they worked. Actually LIKED the looks of the Harley Chrome ones on my Heritage.

They work for me, and I think they compliment the chromed out front end on my Heritage. Different strokes for different folks I guess...

I just put a Hoppe quadzilla fairing and the HD lower deflectors on my heritage. I usually ride with my feet out on engine guard foot pegs. What I've found is there is an overall improvement with the fairing and lowers but not as much as I thought I'd get. If I keep my feet out on the guard pegs I get more buffetting from air hitting my legs, than if I have my feet on the boards. Before I had the fairing and lowers it was the opposite, more buffetting with my feet on the boards. Afew years back I put the lowers on with the stock heritage windshield and did not like the looks, but with the fairing I like it.

Just got my HD set in. I'll be putting them on tomorrow. It's supposed to get to 60. May get in a ride too...

IMO its Ur wind shield that is causing Ur problem,, not the fangs..

U still have too much gap between the fangs and the bottom of Ur shield thats allowing the buffering to still come up.

Almost everyone that has the stock HD shield and use fangs are really happy with the results..

Got the stock windshield. Wind used to come of my legs and push my helmet up.

Installed lower deflectors. Huge difference. Very happy with them. They are actually worth the money to me...and I really don't mind the looks at all.

I had the same issue with mine. Your head would be thrown around from the wind buffeting from the top of the windshield. I ordered a taller one from titebike.com. Its about 5 inches taller then the larget HD offered. It is a little thicker to compensate for the height. Bolted right up the factory hardware. Had it for 2 years. No cracks at all.
