Default chrome slippery slope

Ok, so I picked up a chrome controls kit and then figured I'd better do the braided lines at the same time so picked those up. Of course my kit came with chrome switches, so I will be doing internal wiring at the same time. Then to do the throttle cables I'll have tounbolt the tank, so I might as well take off the upperfork parts and polish or install chrome ones. Then of course if I'm doing the uppers, I might as well do the lowers at that time. So basically wanting chrome controls has turned into likely doing a complete chrome front end, which I wanted anyway, but figured I'd do piece by piece...but oh well....I'm certainly willing to spend my kids inheritance as they don't deserve it anyway!!!

So, the question is, is there anything else I should do at this time that will be easy as that part or area of the bike will be dissassembled anyway?

Thanks,
DJ

I second the grips, and switch housings. I dislike the buttons being chrome. Sounds like it will look like mine...NICE!

I know that story well!

How about front signal relocation. Since you have the tank off, you can tuck the extra wire nicely up under there. And since you have the fork apart, it would be a good time to do a lowering kit.

Oh, maybe you should repaint, replace the calipers, rotors, and rims too!

Chrome front fuel tank mounting hardware kit, chrome rocker box bolts or bolt covers, and teardrop front fork rocker covers.

You'll have the wheel off. Might as well toss it for a chrome billet wheel, spacers, rotor and nut hardware.

I bought my bike last fall, and had a whole winters worth of the "HD catalog by the toilet" disease.
I did the whole enchalada.

I got to say that accessorizing my bike has given me the most pleasure of any toy that I've ever had. Riding it is pretty good too.You only live once, so you might as well have some fun.
