$110/hr is crazy! My local dealer seems to jump up their rate by $5 every other year and as of right now their at $80.

Doesn't surprise me at all...my local HD dealer has been charging $95.00 per hour for labor for several years now.

They stay busy...

I just got up from work last night and I called to see exactly what is charged in my area. I have 1 dealer about 25 miles west of me and a dealership about 25 miles N.E. of me. The one to the west is 100 an hour and the other is 95 an hour. I don't just dislike a dealerships prices, it's the crap you have to go through when they work on your bike and do a pizz poor job. Then you have to take it back, fight and argue to get them to make it right always being told it's a "new problem" then they want to charge you all over again to fix what you have already paid for to be repaired. My INDY's shop is NOTHING like that. 70 and hour and he stands behind his work 100%, no questions asked, no arguing, no passing the buck and no "screw you". I would rather let my bike sit and collect dust then have to go to and to put up with the dealerships crap.

I work in a car dealer and the labor rate just went to $ 99.00/hr for cars and $ 110.00 for trucks. 250 and larger. What everyone has to understand is everyones costs are going up just like going to the food store that now costs more. The warranty rate in most cases is like $ 5-6.00 cheaper than the cust rate. Everyone can blame the investers on wall st for pumping the price of oil up so much, that has driven the price of everything up. It sucks when you have to pay for it.. Harley does have many rules that keep their dealers a float and they keep doing it as it has worked for them for many years.

cant believe the dealer is charging $110 an hour, and still paying techs less then $10. no wonder there is so many problems with stuff not being done rite. last year i was talking to one of the head guys from liberty HD service(akron,oh.) he told me they still start techs at $7.75hr. i made $11 to screw around at a moped shop in highschool.

I was at the Victory dealer the other day and they have some mighty fine looking ABORTIONS over there!!!! lol and priced right!!! Dont get me wrong, I love my rocker and its not going anywhere, BUT I would NEVER buy another HD because they dont stand behind their product and CUSTOMERS...They would rather play games with the CUSTOMERS...with the customers money...they make great t shirts though...
