wheel fitment
If someone was going to buy some aftermarket wheels fora 2006FXSTI with the factory200 wide ride set up... Would you stick with the factory17 inch by 6 inch rim or getan 18 inch by6 inch rim?
Will the 18 inch by 6 inch rim even work?
Space looks to be very limited...
The reason I ask isbecause it looks like there are far moreMfg's for 18 inch tires than 17 inch tiresof that width...

RE: wheel fitment
I think the larger 18" looks more at home on a rice burner, and itloses the fat tire look from the side.
Almost everybody offers a 6.25 X 17" rear.
I just ordered a set from Xtreme Machine, and I know PM, RC, Weld and Hogpro offers their styles in a 17"er.
JMHO, but the 18"er wasn't even a possibilityfor my bike.

RE: wheel fitment
1/4" rim width won't change the tire width at the base, so there's no problem.
You can order a Metzeler 210x50x17"
It's a hair wider (210 over 200), but it fits because it's also a shorter tire (50 vs. 55).
I'm sticking with the 200 Dunlop because I think the 210 50x17 looks too small and stumpy.
I would also contact Hogpro after you make your wheel choice. They can get anything, and they will save you money.
