Thumbs up Last ride of the year

Well we knew it was coming WINTER !!! Here in Alaska .
Did a ride this last Saturday it was chilly and already had snow fall , I love heated gear for sure !!!! . The ride was good to the lodge put on about 300 miles . We had to wait to about noon to take off due to the snow and frozen roads . The roads melted off still had a bit on the sides . The bike is going into Hibernation , come on Spring .

I guess that's another reason to call it termination dust. About time to bust out the snow machine. Nice pics.

It was 90 degrees in my neck of the woods today...but there IS a cold front headin' our way on Sunday.

It's supposed to only get to about 73 degrees for the high....

Just got home from riding after work. Upper 70's when I got home, it was great. Was suppose to fix heaters at a car wash on my way home. Wasn't about to dodge the cars and spend 3 hours when it should take less than 1. So, I rescheduled for tomorrow. Rain and crappy weather. Perfect day to work. Won't see many more days like this til spring. Almost time to start breaking down the bike for mods.

Wow! Sucks to be you . . . Nice scenery, but I usually go on my last ride of the year right around Decembr 31st. I refuse to live were water can actually turn solid if left outside overnight at any time of the year!

Here, the runs are in full gear now that the temps are below 100F. Before it was about 1 run every other week. Now, there are around 3 different runs each weekend. It's like everyone out there wants some biker donations for some kind of charity. I write that since it is not just the biker groups hosting the runs now.

NEVER give up!!!! Well, maybe in alaska...I'm in New England and we get some pretty good winters, but not comparable to your situation!!! Down here, if we get a warm day (+40 degrees or higher/no wind/sun/roads decent), I usually go for a scoot and charge the battery/get the fluids moving. A couple years ago a buddy stopped me in the grocery store and said he saw a crazy bastard going down rt 2 doing 80 mph in the freezing cold that looked just like me...I said that was because it was me!!!! He told me I was nuts! He's a great guy...but his bike is not allowed to get dirty or wet...he misses alot of good riding! Ride safe on your snow mobile!!! We are getting ours tuned up for the season!!
