Number One Deuce
I bought my Deuce because I wanted comfortable forward controls to stretch out my long legs. I have sport bikes that are quicker in the corners but not by a whole lot except at the track as the Deuce is a pretty good ride once it is set up.
I put in cartridge emulators in the front forks, set the sag, raked the neck with cups, extended the forks four inches to add to high speed stability, put on shorter drag bars for control, moved the seat up three inches for better balance and extended and lowered the controls so my weight was on the ***** of my feet.
Then I tuned it up, put in a cam plus put on a 19 inch alloy wheel and better rubber front and back.
My idea was simply "stock---but better functioning and longer so it would LOOK more of a piece especially with my big butt sitting on it."
I think it has pretty much a "stock" look to it.
As if the factory MIGHT have made it THIS way.
I bought the Deuce because it was so close to my ideal big Harley and had all the right chrome on it already.
So far after 11 years I haven't seen any newer models that make me want to trade it.
I might paint it black to make it look more contemporary.
I have bags and fairing and a bigger seat to make it tour and three hundred mile days are pretty uneventful even at age 70.
I like it for what it is. A good Harley with forward controls.
