Takes experience to realize that in many cases, OEM is best.

And the Deuce bags really only look good if you're low in the rear and with the right exhaust. Doesn't look good with short or cutoff exhaust in my opinion.
Plus, I just use them so much with my wife on road trips that it's a function over form thing.

Thinking about some different risers and bars for mine, but not decided...

I'll snap some better outdoor shots in the next few days if the rain keeps away.
This is why I'm taking more off than putting on.

Here is Ms. Blue! 2002

this is my first Harley and I hope to keep it a very long time. It will however be undergoing a makeover at some point. Think bobber....

Some nice rides in this thread.
My 03, kinda black, kinda not. A couple of ideas on the go for a seat and bars but pretty much gas go at this point.

Looks good!

What's your bar & riser setup/dimensions? I like how it looks in those photos, but doesn't it pull you way forward?

And how much are you lowered, looks like about 2" f&r?

Thanks, I'm 6'4 so reach isn't an issue for me. I prefer a more over the wheel approach type of ride. I used the RSD I think 1.5" or 2" risers. I'm away from the bike but I'll have a look when I'm back home. Bars are Wild 1 drag bars. Might change them out a Pro Taper style Moto bar.

Progressive Mono tube front. Lowered 2". Rear is lowered to eye but I'd guess about 2" also.

Oh yeah, you're a tall dude with no shortage of stretch!

I, too typically prefer a forward position, well, on all my bikes except this Harley. On this Deuce I'm enjoying a laid back position, especially on long road trips.
But I'm quite a bit shorter than you.

And funny you mention the protapers, I was looking at putting some older style Enduro type bars on with a crossbar, and a bit more sweep than modern moto bars.

You ever drag anything in turns, or scrape bottom with it lowered 2/2?
I ended up just going 1" drop up front with my monotubes, and about 2" in the rear.
