Default Deuce tach advice needed

Anyone mount a tach on their Deuce? I've seen Harley sells 2 different mounts and it looks like one involves switching the risers, is that true? Anyone mount a tach made by someone other than HD?

Default RE: Deuce tach advice needed

I used a Baron "Bullet Tach" from J&P. Mounted it 'tween the risers with single fire adapter. Needle jumps around a bit at idle but works great above about 1500RPM.
