Default Floorboard without Rubber shaker inserts.. who has them ?

Hi all,

I am considering one of them fancy brass inserts (STF or others), I wonder, for those who have floorboards without rubber gums at the bottom, do you guys get a lot of Viberations ? It seems my board on the edge vibrates a lot, but I also remember my FWD control that came stock were OK !.

Any help will be appreciated.

I've got aftermarket peg mount boards on mine that don't have the anti-vibration spring insert, only a rubber "sticker" for grip. I don't know what to compare it to, as I've never ridden a bike with the dampers, but I do fine with mine and it doesn't bother me one bit (longest ride of ~300 miles).

Good luck!
Jared

The ones I've seen are fine...right up until you take your feet off of them and put them up on highway pegs, then you will think the bottom is coming out of your engine...the can tend to rattle, a LOT, and no rubber to help absorb it.

I actually have full floorboards off a CrossBones installed I removed my FWD controls long time ago.
So my question applies to most FL riders.

I replaced stock full size boards that had rubber springs in them with half moons, no rubber springs. At first I felt a little vibration, but you soon dont notice anything and forget about it. Being tall I gained about 1/2" of leg room with the no spring half moons. In short, not worth worrying about imo.
