Default NO ONE HAS A Kuryakyn Airmaster?

Did a search for the Airmaster fairing on this forum and only got 4 hits.
Two of the four had no replies. DOES ANYONE own one of these fairings
and is so is it any good. It appears to me that it is the nicest one out there.
Everything is included: fairing, winshield, mounting hardware and a damn nice stereo. Also the biggie for me is the glovebox.

I thought I read in here that some one had one. They look nice little pricey though the glove box does look nice. I was hoping they had one on display this weekend at Delmarva bike week

I have one on my 08 Heritage & love it. I bought mine used off this site from a guy that had it on a RKC. I had to pull some strings with Kuryakyn to get the correct brackets but eventually got them. The fairing itself is awesome, fits great, looks great and the glove box is a wonderful feature.. I have the original design & I know that they have since changed the stereo. The stereo on mine is OK but the speakers really suck, I am going to upgrade the system this winter. I can hear the stereo at 70 MPH but it could be allot better than what it is.. I bought a SG style windshield bag for it but didn't like it because it stuck out past the glove box & made it hard to open so I returned it.. I have the original 3 pouch windshield bag that was on my OEM windshield and I'm going to modify that one to fit. Basically I am going to cut the metal bracket that holds the 3 pouches together so they are seperate from each other & install one bag on each stud for the windshield, this will give me room between the pouches to open the glove box..

They had a booth/tent at Rapid City Harley during Sturgis bike week.......had one on a stand. It was ok........looked plastic to me (mine is fiber glass) so you have to use different paint if you want a color other than black. I also put that exact Sony head unit in my fairing. Piece of s$%t. The front panel/door has all the controls on it..........that's also how you access the connection for your IPOD or MP3 player. Because of the engine/front fork vibrations the panel/door looses connection with the unit and the lights flicker and the controls don't always work. You have to push against the panel to make sure the contact touch to make the buttons function.........try doing that while you are riding.

I disagree with the paint having to be different. The Airmaster fairing is made out of ABS yes but so are the newer HD saddlebags & Tour paks. That being said, the paint I had put on those didn't need to be different & it matched the bike to a tee.... My painter told me that that he will have no problem matching the fairing to the rest of the bike. This will get done this winter...

That is good looking, well except for the $2100 plus pricetag. That would go a long way on a trade toward a SG or EG.

Actually it is only $1600

http://www.bikertrends.com/index.php...oducts_id=5315

And that includes the mounting brackets etc.
Nothing else to buy.
The other fairings I have been looking at require the purchase of some kind of kit driving the price up to around the same.
Lastly the fairing is already painted vivid black....

That's a little better, especially if you have a black bike so it's color matched.

I have one on my Deluxe. Works good. No problem with Sony. Just put dielectric grease on contacts.

Love glove box. check with M&M Cycles for cheaper price.
