Default Halogen headlamp and passing lights...

Since we are going to be making several long runs this fall (8 days out for BBB in Arkansas!) and will be running more at night, I'm thinking it would sure be nice to be able to SEE!

Has anyone else upgraded to the Harley Dual Bulb Halogen Headlamp (67700033) and the halogen passing lamps (68208-98A)...? If so, how do you like them compared to the stock Harley light set-up?

Any other suggestions are welcome!

I would and have gone LED bulbs. Much brighter and easier on the charging system.

I looked at the LED option, and after seeing the charts on both, the halogen shows to give a wider beam and over 100ft longer beam than the LED...

It sounds like you're referring to the JW Speakers LED that's offered by Harley. That particular LED is a projector, which work like Spot Lamps rather than spread the beam.

I have the Truck-Lite brand, 7'' Round LED Headlamp, Complex Reflector Optics Design and I'm real happy with it. On a 6-lane Blvd it spreads the lighting from curb to curb. If you're interested, there's a lot more information posted on this thread including special discount pricing: https://www.hdforums.com/forum/softa...ing-lamps.html

I switched to the LED lamp and love it. Honestly didn't think the halogen bulb was bad before, but the LED makes a big difference.

I used LED's on my 2009 FLSTN. I loved them. When riding with 6 other bikes, my lights lit up the highway signs and I was last in the group. I think LED's run cooler, and last 50x longer than incandescent.
