Got a 10" and 6" 3/8" Wobble extension today from Oreilly Auto Parts (Lowe's and Ace Hardware had none). Worked like a charm! The Wobble extension is definitely the key. I had more problems just pulling the pipes out after unbolting everything than I did with actually just loosening up the bolts.

Quick question... once I reinstall the pipes, do I need to replace the ring that is on the end of each pipe? It looks like a seal of some sort that goes behind the part that bolts on and holds the pipe. I just put these pipes on about 1000 miles ago and I am not sure if the indie that installed them replaced those... or if they need to be replaced in general. Thanks!

The ring is part of the pipe. The gasket is in the head. Unless you destroyed the gasket getting the pipe off, you shouldn't have to replace it. Have had my pipes off many times and have had no problems.
