Had my recall done at the dealer yesterday with a new tire mount. It's NOT the cap. THey have a tool that "stretches" the threads in the tank.

BTW- Dealer tire mount...$35.00 with a $5.00 state mandated disposal fee... Dealer matched lowest price I found on the web for the tire. Much cheaper than I bought a new tire and mount at an indy....

Received mine a few weeks back. Haven't done anything with it yet but I don't seem to be having a problem with my cap.

Is the only symptom a leaking cap?

I did, 2008 Classic. Was looking around on the Harley Owners site and they say my bike has no recalls.

Had the recall done.. Fuel still pours out when you turn right.. The dealership chipped the paint and won't do anything to fix.. Let alone cares that I may be burned alive from the fuel still pouring out.. NOT A HAPPY HARLEY OWNER RIGHT NOW.. Hope this does not happen to you..
