Default Any springer owners have the 58044-88C windshield?

I'm curious about how the windshield attaches to the springer. I don't have the stock top clamp and the risers and bars are not the right ones either. So I'm wondering if I could still use this windshield.

Ido mostly short rides but I'dlike to at least havea windshield in the garage so I can install it for long trips. Any descriptions or photos of how it mounts would be appreciated.

Thanks!
Kevin

Nice Bike... Is that a Dyna with a Springer front end? I have a detachable wind shield... There is a mounting kit. Look at some of my photo's, I am sure I have one showing the windshield on... Long trip across the pass... Did I say that is a nice Ride?

With the detachable the top clamp doesn't come into play for mounting. My bike is stored at work but if you can't get any answers I'll be more then happy to take some pics of my setup tomorrow.

Yeah, it's a street bob with the springer off of a 1996 bad Boy.

You guys are awesome! Those weresome quick responses. I'm thinking that detachable version would be the way to go. What do you guys think about my blinker relocation brackets? Are my blinkers likely in the way there?

Attached is a picture of my Springer with the windsheild off. The chrome mounting brackets attach on each side of the front end.

Man, I love that Night Train/Street Bob look with the Springer front end. I'm going for a similar look on my 93 FXSTS.

Seems like it should be a crime to put a windshield on it though...

It WOULD be a crime. I'm just looking at a steal on a windshield right now so if I ever want to have one, this would be by far the best price I'll ever get. I assure you, it would only be on the bike if I was travelling out of state.

That's a great looking bike twowheels. I don't know why but for some reason, the customs based on Sportsters seem to appeal to me.

Thanks for the help guys!

Come on Kevin, I did over 7k miles in three weeks (MD to CA and back) with no windshield...

I'm just messing with you, I guess windshields have their place (just not on my bikes)
