2012 Fatboy Lo strange clank sound when I pull on the front brakes
So, I've had her for two months now and so far so good.
However now I'm hearing a clank/knocking sound when I use my front brakes. I only hear it when I initially use the brakes but don't hear it if I use them again right after.
I'm driving and I pull on the front brake leaver and I hear a clank/knock (metal to metal sound) just once. I let got the brakes and then pull on them again and it's gone.
Ride for a little while and then I pull on them and then I hear it again.
Sometimes it happens while I'm at the lights. I stop wait for the green then I pull the break leaver and clank/knock.
What could this be, lose cable hitting the body of the bike?
I just noticed this a couple of days ago and thought I'd ask here before I go to the dealer.

I had this same noise on my Blackline and fixed it recently. It is caused by the pads shifting back and forth in the caliper.
Try this: Get on the bike and roll it forward in neutral then hit the front brake to stop. Then roll it backwards and do the same. Then back forwards. It will probably click each time.
The way I fixed it was to take a center punch to the backing material of the brake pad. Punch it right near the edge in all 4 corners. This will spread out the metal on the corners just slightly. This should be enough to make the pads fit snug in the caliper.
A friend who owns a frame/alignment shop taught me this trick, and it worked perfect on my bike.
