I wouldn't worry about the mileage, that is really low for a 11 year old scooter. Someone will probably quote NADA or KBB pricing but in my opinion, they are pretty much worthless if the bike is more than a few years old. If it is worth it or not depends on the overall condition of the bike and how bad you want it. Don't buy a scooter as an investment, buy it it ride. Good Luck in your quest!

Just curious - what do you base your statement on unless you have seen the bike up close & personal? One used bike I will never forgive myself for letting it get away is a 1982 Shovel for $11,000. You had to see it to believe it - perfect, better than new.

I'd base that statement on you can probably get a newer, lower mileage bike for what they are asking for this one.
But like someone else said, it's not an investment. if you're happy with the bike and price - go for it. Good luck with whatever you decide.
And no matter what, as soon as you buy your bike, you'll find a nicer, cheaper one. So quit looking after you lay your money down.

While model year and/or mileage has a lot to do with a used Harley, the overall condition and how it has been taken care of also means alot.
I just sold my wife's '99 Heritage with 25,000 miles and it looked nicer than most bikes years newer.
One of our neighbors had an '07 Heritage (pure stock) and it looked older than my wife's '99.

I have always been one who determines the price of something according to what I want. Many times folks let things they want get away from them because others told them the price is too high.
If you are satisfied with the bike and you can afford it, make it your decision. As with all vehicles you probably won't get your money back but most everything you do in this life cost money. How many times have you gotten your money back from a movie, or a DVD, or baseball, football or any sporting event.
You like it you buy it.
