Default New Saddlebags on the way

I ordered a new set of Saddlebags this morning from Osprey Limited. Got a nice set of Buffalo Indian Chief Leather bags being made for me. The size will be 18.5" X 7" X 13". Black leather with three buckles and conchos above the buckles. Buckles will have quick disconnect buckles underneath hidden out of sight. Fringe will run along the bottom of bag. The bags come with the quick disconnect mounting system with key lock. All included in one price.
The bags should be ready in two to three weeks. The web site has some very nice looking bags.
If anyone has the Osprey Limited bags, please let me know what you think of the quality.
Frank

Your gonna love them. I have a few friends that went with them because they liked the style of my stock springer bags. They are excellent quality.

Also..pretty funny I found this post..recognized your user ID. I shipped you something today from eBay...

Yep, If you want I can show you some models of those I don't currently have listed. I'm limiting my business right now...kind of toning things down as I will be taking a break from selling on eBay for about 6 months towards the end of September. If you want I'll just send some pic's to your email address that I have from eBay.

Congrats. on the Osprey bags. Have a set myself. Heavy duty and well made.
A couple things to be aware of though. I ordered Easy Brackets with mine. Not totally happy. They dont sit close enough to bike. The brkts. will set bags about 2" off fender rail. The reason is partly because bags have flat back panels. So clearance is needed for frame and axle. A formed panel would be a huge improvement.
As far as clearance goes, you may have to relocate turn signals to gain clearance for the bag.
Secondly, do not let the bike sit in the sun for extended periods. The flaps on the bags are backed with a PVC panel which is sewn to the leather flap. In extreme heat the PVC expands and grows causing the flaps to curl up on the ends. This has happened so much that the R.sides flap has a permanent curl in it. Suggestion to Osprey remove PVC panel on flap.
Finally, be aware how low you mount them. My L. side bag just bounces on the left axle nut. It's starting to tear stitching.
Take your time mounting them.

I got mine last week, I'll post pics this weekend, I'll agree bout the left axle nut, I spaced mine out even further cos of this, using the quick det h/w, bags are extremely well made.
