Default FLSTN tailite bulbs

The wife's 2011 deluxe has been going thru turn signal bulbs lately, yesterday the rear one went out and when I pulled it noticed it's a single filament. Seems strange as it works as a running and brake/turn signal lite. Have the softbrake plate kit on it, was wondering if someone with a newer deluxe could tell me if their lites work the same way. Thanx.

Fronts are running.. rears are turn only unless you have a Run Turn Brake module.

Therefore.. Single filament in the rear turns.

Just checked my records on that bike it's got the module on it, apparently it uses the single filament bulb for both functions. Think I'll try running a better quality bulb on it and see if that helps. Thanx

I have switched to the LED on my deluxe and have to say it was one of my best mods. Much brighter.

I got some HD bulbs at the local auto store couple yrs ago.. but I've only had 1 turn bulb to go out in almost 6yrs..

BUT, Just last week in here there was another post / Thread about the same issue..

Another member said to check the lower Rear fender tip running light bulb. See if its burnt out also.

Weird as it sounds, I believe it was the fix.. Along with replacing that non working fender tip bulb the other member said he took off the fender tip running light housing, cleaned it and checked wiring and after it went back together all was well now..

Also put some die-elc grease on the bulb.

Ehhhhh... I gooofed that one up.... Big time.... That thread must have been about a Heritage.

I was thinking the fender tips on a LUX were lit up the same as our Heritage, which I now know they are not....

Sorry just trying to help.... I don't like to give wrong info,, but I sure did on this one...
