New Slim Owner
I'm a newbie here, and figured my first post should be in the thread that has provided a lot of inspiration for my build. I've ridden a V-Star 650 Classic for the past 13 years (and a couple of Hondas before that), and the plan was to FINALLY get a Harley when I turned 40 in a few years. Luck would have it that my wife received a promotion early in the summer and decided that she wanted to fast-track that plan. I was set on a Street Glide when I went in to the dealership, but as I walked past that Denim Slim in the showroom, I stopped in my tracks. Being vertically challenged, as soon as I sat on it, my mind was made up. It felt like home.
Seeing as I was going in for a bagger (for touring purposes), this posed a challenge... So I looked into how far I could push this bike to become a transformer of sorts. I wanted the best of both worlds... A bar hopper that could transform, in a matter of minutes, into a touring ride. And I'm close. The finishing touches are happening as I type and I will post the transformation when complete. For now, here is how 'Levon' looks while stripped down (ignore the shield, that came off two minutes after this pic was taken)...

First weekend ride from Seattle to Portland. Rode Hwy 101 along the coast, and now I want to ride all the way to LA. The beach shot is Seaside, OR which at 87 degrees is amazing. I also got to try out the Mustang Wide Tripper with back rest. I couldn't do as long in the saddle as I had hoped but the back rest is really nice to have.
