Does anyone have the daymaker headlamp on a slim yet? I can't decide if I want the chrome or black one. Anyone have an opinion?

yeah, my opinion is that's a boatload of money to pay for a light bulb.
I think if I did my homework I could find something that could do as good a job for a whole lot less...

I agree it's a lot but I do a lot of nighttime riding and I'm not happy with the stock lamp. I've also found a couple alternatives but they are only 150 dollars or so cheaper and don't look near as good.

Have the black one on my Slim. Huge improvement over stock! It's a lot of $ but riding in the Midwest it helps to spot the deer when out in the country. Worth it in my opinion.

There are some recent threads about Phase 7 lamps and HID's.
I may try one of these alternatives first...

/I don't do a lot of night riding, so that's why I'm a little put off by H-D's asking price, but anything that will increase my visibility to others is worth a look...

Yeah I read that whole thread about the phase 7. I'm really turned off by the amount the front glass of the lamp sticks out of the housing on it. You either have to get a new bezel or a French ring to cover to and neither looks good on the slim IMHO

Looks slick. I'm gonna hit Bowman up and see if he will build me one like what comes on the wide glide.
