What seat did you go with? Does it raise up more in the back to hold you in better?

There really wasn’t much to choose from being that it’s a 2018. I decide to buy a cover from blackbird customs in Canada. I know guys who have used them in the past and was very happy with the quality. When I spoke to Chris he told me that they didn’t have a mock-up for the 2018 softail yet. I decided to purchase a second seat and ship it out to him so he can design me a new cover. The turnaround time was very fast and the seat came out great!! Chris kept me posed on the progress with pics and didn’t change me anything extra for the install. Chris is a really good guy!! I think I’m going to shave down the padding on my other saddle to make it a little more low profile and have him recover it as well.

That exsplains it. I’ve been looking at all the 18 options and never saw that. I’m staying solo no question as I never have a second but want one with a bit more on the back to hold me from sliding back

yes, same with me. I always ride solo and I really love the look of a solo saddle. In the past when my wife would ride with me (before we had kids and very rarely) I used the pad with suction cups that would stick to the rear fender. It was very strong and never moved. I really don’t have any issues sliding back on the stock seat, I’m just looking for a lower profile look.

Be already slide back a few times and I’m looking at doing the stage 3 so can’t see it getting better. I’m thinking a Springer seat or something with a bit of a lip if anything comes out. Worst part of the bike is the lack of aftermarket....and stock height off the rear fender lol

yeah, I hear ya. There really isn’t a heck of a lot of aftermarket yet. I totally agree on the rear fender. My progressive shock finally came in. It’s going to be installed Tuesday with 12in Hell bent apes. It should lower the bike about 1in in the rear. I’ll be sure to post some pics

Yes do post pics. They are working up the next round of work on mine. As I said thinking stage 3 instead of the 2, and lowering it to help the fender so I’d love to see one done

Do the 18’s still use 16” wheels? They look taller and skinnier
