Same here - I just managed to get in three days of local riding last weekend.

I like a little contrast.
I just bought new derby & timer covers in chrome anticipating getting the primary, trans & timer covers powdercoated texture black.

..although chrome & chrome looks good too...

It looks like it goes under the struts. Any tips on getting it on without scuffing up the fender?
haha, you're asking the wrong guy! My only advice is black magic or wizardry. haha, I definitely got some good scruffs in mine, it was an insanely tight squeeze.

Let me know if you go with the same bar and what your results are, I'd like to see.

Nice looking bike, Swan. I love how few mods the Slim needs to look great.

Well I finally pulled the trigger. I ordered my Carlini Evil Apes in 14inch and test fitted them tonight. I have to say they are awesome bars and fit me perfect. I'm 5'11" btw. I need to measure for wires and cables now. Anyone have an idea of the lengths needed? thanks in advance.

Ronin those look bitchin, I have the Carlini gangster apes 14, 1.5. My dealer ordered up +6 and they did not fit so I had to re-order +8, mine are a little bit fatter so I dont know if that comes into play. What pipes you got running? Bassani? Heres a pic of mine:

JC - Thanks man. I'm liking your FB. At +8, are your cables perfect or do you have extra play in them? IMO sloppy cables are a buzzkill. Did you get the black diamond cables and how do you like them? I've been reading Magnums are really good and are not too expensive. I'm running Bassani Firesweeps. Love em but since i put 1.5 lowering collars on they are grinding down...

TinCup - I just used painters pin stripe tape. probably 1/8in and cost 10 bucks a roll. much better than $250 per wheel by a pinstriper. Don't get me wrong...i think the work those guys do is awesome but for ~2 bucks (i have a lot left over), 3 hours, you can't beat it.
