I need calls help. I am changing out rear fenders and removed the tail lights to cut the right side the same length as the left. When I put them back on the hole for the wiring shows slightly. Is that how Y'alls are too? I don't remember it being like this but I never paid attention to it until now. Picture for reference.

Hello Sticks. I like the Moustache bars I think they add to the bike. I don't use the pads to rest my feet much.
The main reason I had them put on is to protect the bike in case I drop it. I've always had them on and they have served me well.
Mine has ABS and the brake line is too short to route to the rear of the bar as the instructions say. Although the dealers say it's fine it's not.
I put the bars behind the pipe as they are open ended. I passed the bars behind the brake pipe and then bolted them on. The brake line has just a little more slack although it probably should be lengthened.
If you don't have ABS you should be a happy camper.
