Yeah I have heard the IL police aren't too keen on vertical plates but i had them like that on a few of my scooters and bikes and they have never personally made a comment to me...
Vertical is definitely ok in Illinois now, so long as it's unobstructed (slide 6).
What a difference those extra five inches makes.
How did the feel on the ride change. And are you noticing a change with fuel level indicators?
Stock tire is 25.30 diameter, this tire is 27.31. Thats only 1 inch pitch back. I just missed the stock fender bolt holes by a hair. Not sure if fuel level will be noticeably affected. I have my suspension tightened up some. I weighed myself holding my work duffel and had harley dealer set my suspension at that weight....So my fat a$$ isnt really squishing the rear suspension much, so I say I wont notice fuel level... nor do I let it go lower then a 1/4
My First ride was short around some twisties , floor boards did not scrape and I felt I was a being a little more aggressive than usual. Ride felt firm.
Contrats on the new scoot. That Sporty seat looks comfortable. Think you are going to miss it? The Slim is a great bike, for sure. Oh, welcome to the forum, too. tomp dd50
