Hello all, your Slim's look great! Lots of cool pics here. Thought I'd share mine as well. Here's a few with and without the bags.

What I've done to the bike:

SE Super Tuner
S&S Air Cleaner
Vance & Hines Straight Shots Full Exhaust
Biltwell Chumps Handlebars
Bowman Welding Sissy Bar
HD throwover bags and Passenger Pillion, but I've got the Sundowner seat for the long rides.

Not a whole lot but it makes it mine!

Nice bike, Somo. I wondered what an S&S would look like on a Slim. Great job. Biamo, thanks for the compliment. The Leatherworks did my bag. They will customize them for ya. I had them make mine without the straps cuz I kinda like that to retain the clean look of the bike. They also did it 5'' wide, as opposed to 3'' if memory serves. Email them and they will hook you up. Reasonable prices.

I got wicked image oval mirrors today, and 58 Panhead tank emblems. The mirrors are bolted on, but not sure I like them. And I used a little masking tape just to get a look at what the emblems will look like. I'll definitely put them on permanently in the next few weeks. Love the Panhead emblems.

We're still getting the length of the ECM cover right,
I know its a bit expensive only to find it wouldn't work, but why
not try the cover from a Crossbones? Its already slotted where
the pillion mount needs to go. Maybe the rear fender is
a whole lot wider? Even so, would probably just need to use a heat
gun & mould it to the slim's fender...

Just an idea & hope this helps,

i like your throw over bags - a couple of questions please:

1. do you have the part number?

2. will they fit with stock pipes?

3. will a swing arm bag fit with them?

thx - tin

I hear ya. Actually investigates this a bit. The Crossbones kit doesn't work with the angle of the Spring solo saddle, unfortunately. The CB is designed for the upright springs of the CB seat, not the angled springs of the Solo saddle. Maybe the CB ECM cover alone would work, but you can't buy that separately from the rest of the kit, so it makes no sense to even try at that point. Plus, it would be a not too great looking mis match between the slotted CB ECM cover and the flush spring solo underseat.

Put new seat on sled today. Other seats, IMO, would look better on bike but this one functions better I hoped. And it does. Do not slide onto rear fender every time I hit the gas and more comfortable. Went for a ride around block to see if I liked it, that turned into me getting onto freeway, which lead to a trip one county over which ended up at the lake. Stopped for a minute then smiled because I got to ride all the way back home, great little unplanned ride and loved the seat. Next replacing the grips this weekend. Here is a pic on new seat:

Thanks, Tin.

1. These were handed down to me from a friend who's had them for a bit, but from what I can tell they are 91008-82C.

2. I did not have the bags when the stock pipes were on, so I can't give you a definite answer, however there's not a whole lot of clearance with these V&H, so I'm willing to say it would be cutting it close.

3. No, these are decent sized bags and cover most of the swingarm. Hope this helps!
