Has anyone installed one of those Gas Tank lift kits on a Softail Slim?? Please post pics. I'm curious how it looks.

AH HAAA! Excellent! Thanks for the pic Splattttt! Exactly what I have in mind. Lift the tank, move the coil, lose the mounting post behind the rear jug.
Is that a 1.5 inch, 2 or 3 inch lift?

Looking for any thoughts on this. I'm thinking of removing that nasty looking piece of plastic that serves as the rear fenders lower extension. Any downsides to that?

I believe it keeps the gritty road grime & splash out of the wiring under
the oil tank area, which so happens to house the BCM. Tire would
probably throw more dirt out the sides onto on the swingarm & pipes, etc..

Other than that - no problems. Thought the aftermarket
offered one in metal, but I haven't researched it...

I found something for those who are thinking along the same lines as me.

This is a polished stainless steel sheet that replaces that plastic and cleans up the swingarm area quite a bit.
