Here are some updated pics of my Slim. It's always the same deal. You buy a bike for the looks without thinking of the practicality. You don't think about the passenger or how you're going to carry stuff. In hindsight I probably should have got a Heritage or maybe even a Road Glide, but I got the Slim. It's my Slim, and I do love it.
Some of you, I'm sure, will hate on it, but it really does good double duty. I hated the tall windshield so I chopped it down. I still need to figure out the rear directionals.

"Some of you, I'm sure, will hate on it, but it really does good double duty."
I won't hate on it, man. The beauty of a Harley is you can make it exactly what you want and need it to be.
I'm sticking with a stripped down look on mine. Just my bag, Baby. Plus, I have no idea where you cats get the money to do so many mods so fast.
My siggy is the latest pic of my Slim. New grips, pegs, Spring solo seat, swingarm bag and VH slip ons with quiet baffles, is all I've been able to muster so far. But I have a passenger pillion in my closet and a custom ECM cover on the way so I can carry my gal and keep that spring seat. (Guess it won't be a solo seat any more.)
Will probably get some new black billet mirrors, maybe a LED turn and stop light under the fender. Down the road, when my Dunlops are worn, maybe some white walls. I'm interested in vintage tank badges too, but we'll see.

Slim, I too am not a big fan of the extras but it's a must if you want to pick up "Anything" while your out on the bike and I too have broken down and put the bags and windshield on my Deluxe.
I love the vintage 32 Chevy style tail light look... the sediment is down right funny... where did you find that?

I plan on doing the same thing hopefully before spring.
The beauty of the windshield and bags are that they're both of the quick detach variety...
