So as I said, I have the fork lowers - aka "fangs" too. These probably
helped more than the center baffle, but I figure if the Touring bikes have
them - what the hell, give it a try... Here's a pic of the fork lowers.

hope this helps,

T.

Default Serbian take on Hot Rod Slim

Greetings from Belgrade, Serbia!

I've been following this thread for more than 2 years now and would like to thank you all for sharing so many great ideas.

If you can remember the first post in this thread, the bike on the photo had the red wheels (photoshopped). Tanking from there I got and idea to customise my Slim in a hot rod theme. Two years down the line, this is what we ended up with...

All of the work was done locally, by my close friends (mechanics and artists). Some of the parts are custom made, some stripped from the "project" bikes, and some were purchased from aftermarket manufacturers from USA or Germany.

Hope you guys like it, 'cause I love it!

Great looking bike, love the pin stripe work. Grew up in 50's, when pin stripe work was on every hot rod. Oh that and flames, and lakes pipes. It really reminds me of the hot rods of old. tomp dd50

Default Aluminum derby cover?

I need some feedback on whether I can metal polish the derby cover and other aluminum parts on the Slim. I'm afraid the derby cover and other aluminum parts on the bike might have some type of film that I am about to ruin.

Thanks.
