I have a question for you all....recently bought Keiti swingarm license plate holder for my deluxe and slim...works and looks good. Can someone tell me how to get the stock license holder off the bike. Not wanting to break something before I get into it. I actually had bought the relocation kit before I decided to buy the bowman sissy bar.

I don't know where you're going with this, as in, are you going to
go ahead with the turnsignal relocation kit or just eliminate the
stock license plate holder? If you do the relocation kit, just
follow those directions, if you're wanting to keep the aero-style
stalk, you'll need to buy a longer one since its shorter on the
plate holder side since the plate-holder is part of the stalk mounting.

You'll need to disconnect the wiring to the turnsignal/plate light
and remove the pins to get the wiring all pulled out through
the plate mount and reinstalled through a new longer aero-stalk.
It's a pretty easy job, just time consuming taking the rear fender
& struts off...

good luck,

T.

Thanks...my idea was to just take the plate mount off and keep brake/turn signal lights where they are. Last night I just had enough time to open up the area where the license plate light wires are at. That part looks easy enough, but was about ready to figure out how to start disassembling the rest. Somehow the brake/turn signal has to come off i assume to get the plate mount off.

Not saying you can't get it done with the fender on, but it'll be a
royal PITA. Remove the seat, disconnect the three rear wiring
connectors, remove the four strut bolts and the rear fender with
struts comes right off (the ECM is just plastic clipped to the fender).
Flip the fender upside down and you all sorts of room to work on
getting the wiring out of the channel inside the fender. You'll be
able to see how the stalk is held in as well. Again, this is just
the easiest way I've found to work on it...

good luck,

T.

A little late on posting, but got the Aux lights mounted and working...had to swap the windscreen as well. All in all, pretty good install, had fun doing it.
