Default Spirit of 49 Slim

Here is my slim. Just about 5 months old. Deluxe front fender, holes for emblems filled and smoothed. 2014 Deluxe rear struts. 2005 Springer rear fender and seat. Plenty more planned for the winter.

What windshield is that? Also, why the change in rear struts (i'm a newb, I admit)?

It's a stock HD windshield for FL without accessory lights. The stock slim struts won't line up with the holes in a full fender and are a bit short. Harley only makes deluxe struts in chrome, I had these powder coated black.

I have not been following these pages this summer as I have been modding another bike. But I got tell you, that is one great looking slim. Good Job. Whose fairing is that??

If anyone is interested I have a smooth no holes vivid black heritage style front fender that's a direct bolt on. It's in the softail classified section. Or pm me.

Hey DJFRIAR - I used the oil based Sharpies. You have to make sure the tires are really clean. So far I have not had any issues with discoloring. I have had them colored now for about 2 months. The local HD dealer told me HD still sells their pens as well. Did realize that or I would have probably tried those instead.

Thanks Biamo - the fairing is a Glide-Pro fairing. You can order 3 different sizes of shields, I have the lowest on it right now. I am very pleased with the fairing and the customer service they provided!

Below is an off to the side shot so you can get a better look. In my last post of pics the off side didn't load right, not sure if anyone else could see it.
