I did that on a Dyna last year - and just used two H-D 5/16" exhaust port studs (p/n 16715-83).
They were something like $4 for a pair from the dealer.

They're just like all-thread except they have different threads on each half.
I forget the exact specs but they have one coarse thread and one fine.
The coarse side screwed into the lower tree and the fine thread was a perfect match for the turn signal housing - a perfect, direct fit both ways..

What I like about danny25's bike overall is how clean and minimalist it looks. Really keeps the slim's retro bobber style intact. Thats really what I am going for, or at least trying to.

Its funny but with all the TONS of extras you can get from HD and aftermarket, keeping a harley minmalist is MUCH harder task than it seems LOL!

I did the same thing but my spokes were very tight at all the cross overs, still they turned out great.
