Call out for Help to Deuce owner's
Greetings HD owners,
This is my first forum and my first thread (Rookie Rider so to speak)
I need some help with my ride its a
2004 FXSTDi Custom
Built by RC Components (no build sheet)
My Problem is:
I had the bike tied down in a trailer with the front suspension fully compressed for 2 yrs, now my front suspension is too soft and bottoms out at low and high speeds. Probably sacked the springs from the tie down is my guess.
I took the bike into a shop to have new springs installed but they're not sure if the fork tubes are stock or if or if a lowering kit was installed or if they were shortened. Because of the bike's low stance the shop is reluctant to order any stock parts unless I can provide them with some additional info to determine if the fork tubes are stock or not.
My question to the forum is:
Could someone please jack up the front of their bike and post a measurement from the bottom of the triple tree to the top of the lower fork dust cap while the suspension is fully extended with no weight on the suspension?
More than 1 reply would be appreciated as it'll help for comparison's sake
Thanks in advance of any help
