Angry Pitting Forks on my 2012 Fat Boy Lo...WOW

my bike is exactly 1yr and 2 weeks old.... im seeing pitts on my forks and they dont look good... whats the best way to get rid of them... my uncle got the same problem on his 11 Street glide.... Is this another way for Harley to make money? help

If you want to avoid pitting then just keep it parked. Sand ,rocks and other debris will cause that.

Also living on the coast with salt water, fog and all the humidity this year isn't good.

Is it easy to take apart those forks? I would like to paint them matte black.

The corrosive salt air will eat them up. Might try using some Chrome polish and then waxing them, or any type of coating compound, that way it keeps the salt off of the forks.
