Cruise Control on my DLX now!!!!
I bought a new and never installed Cruise Control from Speedy818 here on the forum. It was (as he said) new and never installed. Although it was for a 2010 DLX, I figured it shouldn't be too hard to get it to work on my '06.
Thanks to Dale at Customized Cycles (the original Retailer), http://www.customizedcycles.com/ , who sold me some different mounts and walked me through the differences (including a bit of trouble shooting), it's all installed and working.
I've got to say that this is absolutely an AWESOME addition to anyone making long Highway trips. It works flawlessly and maintains a very steady speed. This is the HD OEM (Delphi) unit that is "hidden" under the transmission on the Softail and uses the RoadKing hand controls. I just added chrome housing to keep the "bling" up on the bike.
Love It so Far,

Did not buy it from Customized Cycles but a Forum member. No where near the $1200 "retail" price. It's the only reason I went ahead and did it.
You can put the "kit" together from The Motor Company parts (IF you can find the Delphi Control module) for a lot less and are willing to make you own wiring harness (not all that big a deal).
It's not a difficult install , just time consuming on the Softail.
