I was working on my 1993 Softail and removed the coil cover and set it aside to do some work. When i turned around and looked at the coil, i noticed the red wire just hanging there. There are no terminals missing any wires. The only thing it can reach is the cover screw. I assume it must have been attached to ground using the screw that holds on the cover. But then I am thinking that red is typically positive. I couldn't find the wiring diagram on line. I figure someone here knows where it goes. Thanks for any assistance in this.

Yea, unless it had come off and was just hanging there inside the cover. It was starting though. Hopefully someone with the same coil will can look at theirs and let me know for sure.
