Default Added Rear Floorboards To 2012 Fat Boy with factory Shotgun Exaust, Pics

Some like rear floorboards on Fat Boys & some do not with that said my wife loves them, more comfort keeps her boots off & away from exaust. We ride two up allot so I have my Fat Boy set up for that style of riding. The floorboards make a big diffrence for her comfort. In the past one could not put floorboards on a Fat Boy with the stock Shotgun exausts head pipes in place but with this kit you can from 07 models on..

I have only the slip on mufflers & stage 1 A/C on my Fat Boy, HD Sundowner seat , rack + backrest & 18" windshield for two up riding.

Parts needed below for 07 on models to add floorboards (works with factory shotgun exaust)

1 Floor board support Kit 50399-07A works with factory Shotgun exaust, 2 of the Floor Board Pads (inserts) 50606-86A, 2 of the Passenger Floor Board Pans 50613-91A & covers of your choice . Covers I used smooth chrome Harley lettering 50782-91

Ride Safe All,
Bill G

Curious, do they have "boot guards" for the rear floor boards? Is it hot there or is there a heat shield over the pipe that would keep it cool enough to keep a boot from burning on it? I have them on the right front flloor board and it has saved me a few times from a real mess but never thought of the rear once a floor board has been added. The pipe I have goes under it so I don't have to worry there and I just ordered the 39" Samson's and I think they also go under the floor board too, correct anyone with Cholo's? Just something I just now noticed with those types of pipes that you put on with the floor boards.

I'm new to the forum so can't see Bill G's pics.. Are they posted anywhere else? I'm trying to add floorboards to a 2012 FLSTFB too, and can't seem to figure out the right side of the 50399-07a mounting kit, OR the parts I got are the wrong ones.
