here's a link that U can punch in the dia of both tire to see the diff..

http://wildcatent.freeyellow.com/zookmods/calc.htm

I don't see how such a small change would make that much speed diff.

I cant find the Michelin's specs but when I ordered them for my Heritage they were
within an 1/8 in of the HD Lops and that little diff won't make anywhere near 10 mph diff on the speedo...

That's why I'm so confused. I couldn't find the commanders tire spec either but nothing else changed. Expect the belt tenision.

At one time I did have a link that I saved that showed the New Mits CommanderII's specs..

I looked for it but I must have lost it when I got a new puter last month..

As I said I remember that the Mits are really close in dia as the Lops were.
I remember that cause I almost ordered some Elite 3's and they where about 9/16'' taller.
So the New commander II's being almost the same size is why I ordered them.

GOT it....... finally...... it took at while but I wasn't giving up till I found it again.....

Scroll down to Page 10 in the link below and it gives the static and In use tire Dia for the Commanders II's

Ur new Commander II's 130 90-16 is - 25.2 static, and 25.8 after install and aired up...
Ur old Lops 130-90-16 are 25.7 aired up...

So With only 1/10'' difference, U've got other issues or Ur speedo wasn't right with the Lops on there either..

We have lots of those in Los Angeles and rarely are two the same. I can drive by two on one block and get two different speeds. The moral of the story is not to trust the speed on those. If you want to check your speed accurately get a gps and check via that.

The GPS is what made me notice the speedo was off.

What should I be looking at to test/fix since it was just fine before the tire.

Having run many different brands on my bike I can tell you it's not the tires.

Something else threw your calibrations off.

That's what I'm thinking also. What should I be looking at? I don't want to throw parts at something just to mask the problem. I'd rather fix it right the first time since it was accurate before.
