Vee Rubber White Wall Nightmare
#21
Oh man, yea, that is bad news and sorry to hear DB is out of bike tires. I can see how grinding the trademarks/company names or whatever off the sidewalls might make some companies butt hurt. Sux bad for us! Wish I'd have known, I'd have ordered another set! Damn, I'm BUMMED!
OP can't touch on much other info than that already provided. The bottled shoe polish is nice because it is easy to apply, although it doesn't last long.

Whatever you do DON'T spend $300 for the Hot Hawgz 120/70/21 Wide White Wall. First clue was they don't state what tire manufacture they use for the tire. When I got the tire, it ended up being a Shinko with very little tread. I have a 21" and 16" DNA Mammoths that I run during the 4 months of good weather and the stock wheels in the 8 months of winter we have in Seattle. With 4 months last summer and 2 months this year tire tread is all gone and to make matters worse I noticed on the way to work today a good size split in the rubber. I'm considering finding another way home and bringing my winter wheel back to work and swap it to get the bike home. I just ordered a tire from Native Custom Baggers which is $100 more but is an Avon Cobra 120/70/21 which I know from having on my wife's Sportster starts with more than double the amount of tread the Shinko showed up with new.
