Default Opinion on Lowered Softail

Hello there, I have a question about lowering the bike.
I have a Rocker C and would like to do some lowering on it.

I have found kits that does 2 inches in the front with Progressive Springs.
I have found kits that does 1.5 inches in the back with Softail Lowering Kits.

I'm sure that scraping pegs are natural to all the people that is lowered, but how bad would you scrape your pegs?
Would you be scraping anything other than the pegs?
Just want some opinion on this before I go and purchase these items.

Thank you.

My Train is lowered 2" front and rear. 2500 miles on the setup and I haven't scraped anything yet, and I ride pretty hard. Your riding style plays into it as well. If you tend to lean the bike more than your body you'll have a better chance of scraping.

I installed this lowering kit and it is a breeze.

You don't have to remove the shocks and it lowers the bike 1-1/2", which is noticeable. Mine is only lowered in the back and I have never scrapped and I ride pretty aggressive.

Wow, thank you everyone for the info.
I just contacted the vendor that I was going to buy from and he said that it should not be a problem.
I always thought that you have to lower the equal amount of height on the front and the back but it seems like you can drop the rear 1.5 inches and leave the front the stock height.
That actually will have more of a raked look he said.
If that is the situation, I'd leave the front stock for now and get the rear lowering kit.

Either way, it seems like all you veterans don't seem to have an extreme problem so I am relieved!

Yes, the pipes are the first thing and I leaned from that from my XL1200C when I had the Samson BG3 on it.
I leaned a little and the pipes started to scrape.
I didn't want that to happen so that's why I asked this question!

Thank you for your input!

Which lowering kit did you go with?

Wait, isn't the Rocker C already lowered?

Scrape my pipes all the time on my Train. I've got it 2" lower in the back, stock height up front. Vance & Hines 2-2 Big Radius pipes. The lower one hits.

Oh man, that's the exhaust I have...
let me ask you a question about it then.
Do you hit the exhaust first or the peg feeler first?

Have yet to hit the pegs yet. Exhaust sits a couple inches lower than the pegs.
