Default Ok, I have searched, read, and read some more...

Can anyone definitively tell me what the axle size is on a 2007 Heritage Classic with stock rims? I have heard everything from 3/4 inch to 1 inch to 28mm and still don't know.

What I am looking at is possibly swapping wheels with someone that wants spokes, and I have to know what years/models/size axles to look at.

Thanks in advance for this info!

I believe that axle size changed from 2006 to 2007 when the 96 inch motor came into play. The reason I say this is that my brother had a set of chrome covers on his '06', was getting rid of the bike and they wouldn't fit his friend's '07'.

2000-2006 Softails have 3/4" front and rear axles. 2007 has 3/4" rear axle and 25mm front axle. All 2008 up models have 25mm front and rear axles except 2009 up FLSTSB has 3/4" front axle.

the exception is the 2007 flstsc which has a 3/4" front axle still. how do i know? Because I sold my stock wheels to someone with an 05 deluxe and went through the same process. I wonder if anyone with the crossbones can confirm what size their axles are?

Thanks, that is a bit confusing with all the changes around that model year, BUT that will certainly help in my search for wheels.

I appreciate the info, I just couldn't find the answer.
