Default Will my wheel fit the OEM Springer front end???

I have a 2011 Softail Deluxe and currently have the 21 x 3.5 wheel in the front.

I'm converting to an OEM Springer front end (off an '05 Springer Classic), will my wheel fit the Springer or what do I have to do to make it fit???

It will fit. The only thing I can foresee would be wheel spacers. Please post pics of this swap. This will be really cool!

I'm pretty certain the bearing or axle changed on the softails in 08?

So..... You may need to change the bearing in the wheel to accept the axle or vice versa

sup bro, i did a little more research on the subject and i'm a 100% sure that your current front axle size is 1" while the FL springer front axle sizes are 3/4" so you'll have to adjust that. hope that helps.

Thanks RIPBiker13

I will post pics after the swap. It's going to be a lot of work though.

Thanks hspring03, Yes I believe the 05 Springer Classic used a 3/4? and my 2011 uses a 1"...correct me if I'm wrong?

My Bones is my second Springer. First Harley, but second Springer. The spacers are a PITA but you're using stock HD parts so I imagine you'll have much less trouble than I did. I.e. putting a Springer on my Yamaha Roadstar.

Oh, and I haven't seen anyone tell you this. Change out the steering head bearing and races when you do the swap.
