Depends on insurance company and probably depends a bit on the adjuster as well. Mine covers up to a certain dollar value with receipts. Anything more than that (don't remember the #) and I'd need to add insurance.
Sorry for your loss brother. At least it turn out like my situation. I caught the thief and by the time it was said and done I spent 1 more day in jail then he did and lawyer/court fees were outrageous. I would like to think though that I helped teach a young man a valuable lesson about theft. Hahaha
Who the hell knows. No, I didn't have xtra ins for parts. Didn't even know that was a necessity or even possible.
My insurance covers up to $2500 in after market. But I have over $4000 so it doesn't help much.
But yes, it is an option. Either way it wouldn't matter. This wasn't right. Money doesn't fix it, and the time you put into her.
The messed up part is, this wasn't a crash where she fell over and you learn something. WTF can you learn from bastards that steal? That the world is full of people that shouldn't be allowed to breathe.
BTW I was a LEO but I went Federal. When you deal with those people day in and day out it can change your views. But remember, not everyone is out to get you. I'm pretty sure you know that already.
Yeah, I'm not letting the bastards get me down. I'm better than them.
Turns out my insurance covers accessories. I should be able to find a few receipts here and there, at least for the major stuff, i.e. Heartland Kit, V&H Pipes, etc. Not sure what the limit is.
