i agree that you would need a little more black if you do the bar black. I have a chrome one that I plastidiped black with a few other parts to see how I would like it. Come winter think I am sending some stuff out for powder coating. here is a link to what the HD mustache bar looks like chrome and black.

had the nostalgic round one and traded it for a mustache guard. Have thought about painting it black many times... Its about what you like.

 

I have a moustache guard, and never use the rests, their in the wrong place to be of any use,
