Feel the heat coming from...
THAT UNDERCARRIAGE!!!!
LMAO!
I had to do it. Now down to business.
I just bought a new Softail Slim and it puts off alot of heat. The design of the bike leaves a gap between the seat and the gas tank and exposes the top of the engine. This allows alot of heat to rise.
Has anyone tried the heat deflectors on the Slim? If so, do you have pictures and any opinions on how well they perform?
Thanks alot!

The Captain Itch product is a high quality product with an excellent reputation, and perhaps you should consider getting one.
That said, I would first start at the cause of the heat: the very lean air/fuel ratio as set by the factory. A fueling/timing solution (like Power Commander etc.) will get the engine to run smoother, more powerfully, and of course, cooler. This is the most important step you could take (along with running high quality lubricants in the bike) towards heat management of your motorcycle.
Make sure you start at the root cause, then add a Captain Itch if you feel you still need it. He is a good guy and offers a great product. It just does not make the engine run any better.
